Starting From the Bottom

Starting over happens! It's the ending that counts. Some endings happen because we hold on too long and they come to that perpetual cliff. Others happen because they are a natural part of our growth process. Either way, starting over is like a fresh scoop of lemon sherbert! It can cleanse life's pallet and prepare you to taste the goodness that a new day, a new chapter, or a whole new book can bring! You have another chance to do something wonderful! SO! GO AHEAD! TOO  MUCH TOO SOON? I sat there in the interview with a dear associate whose impression upon my life had been nothing but positive. She had no idea of my level of admiration for her professional demeanor, her kindness and honorable care for those whom she worked with, or her strong parenting which I had had the opportunity to admire from interactions that we had had as our youngest had both attended the same preschool institution. Truly, I am not completely healed from my 2006 experience. I am, however, on the right path. How do I know? I don't want him dead any more. I want him out of my head and away from my emotions - but I don't want him dead. My experience began as a friendly meet up to go have drinks and party a little bit as I was a tad bit depressed and just needed to get out of my own head, so-to-speak. We were meeting at his house and then off to the Wild Hair in Wicker Park. I was truly looking forward to a different experience with someone whom I trusted to take care of me. You see, the guy who assaulted me was a friend, a brother. We sang at church together and we laughed all of the time. I NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT HE WOULD HURT ME THE WAY THAT HE DID...N...
