BE MORE! So Kermit is a hit with this new tea slogan, "Be More Tea!" I love it because it expresses a particular sentiment that we skirt around in our daily professional journey. What is that? Well, the phrase "Be More" is a dead giveaway. There are glaring insufficiencies within policies and people within a work setting. Until someone decides to take the brave steps towards instituting change and providing true leadership, the deficit will remain. But with the right attitude and approach, you can create a culture within your unit or company that promotes the idea of becoming more or becoming better. How often have you seen a particular practice that goes directly against company policy tolerated for the sake of "keeping the peace"? TOO  MUCH TOO SOON? I sat there in the interview with a dear associate whose impression upon my life had been nothing but positive. She had no idea of my level of admiration for her professional demeanor, her kindness and honorable care for those whom she worked with, or her strong parenting which I had had the opportunity to admire from interactions that we had had as our youngest had both attended the same preschool institution. I have confetti moments - those times when everything is up in the air. I don't always know where the pieces are going to fall, but I choose to celebrate because my Heavenly Father has promised me that no matter where the pieces fall, they fall into place for my good.  So, when things seem to be out of control in your life, it's just a confetti moment. As soon as I declared my commitment to being financially free, my world began to crumble slowly... Things happened to the contrary. But what I have found is this, there are principles that are true no matter what phase you are in in your quest for financial freedom and they are: As much as it depends on you, stick to your plan. If you get off track, get back on where you got off and keep going. But don't quit! Give yourself a break. It's been hard enough being a slave to debt. YOUR suffering and disappointment can be used to catapult you into the right direction when you thought it was going to be used for your demise! It's up to you to see the cup half full or half empty. Choosing to make lemons out of lemonade and all of the cliche's that you can think of may seem mundane, but it is more than that. Move upward and onward in your thinking and do the necessary work to embrace your journey and live your dreams! Don't give up because you've hit a rock! Gain upper body strength by going down on your knees and asking God to give you the strength for the journey.  YOU ARE AN OVERCOMER!

This is an amazing opportunity to start your journey into financial freedom! I am listening and taking action. We often don't want to make the necessary changes to obtain what we truly want. Until you are "sick and tired" of being sick and tired, you will do the insane thing over and over again expecting different results. Yes, THAT is insanity!!! So, I begin my journey into the sanity of being reasonable, responsible, and redeemed! Here are the steps that I have taken so far: 1. Got rid of cable and the internet saving $116 per month. 2. Called Verizon to have my bill reduced. I ended up spending the same amount per month but was able to obtain a much needed upgrade, a second phone to use when me or my daughter are using my new upgraded phone for an internet hotspot. Shamar is the Verizon Supervisor from HEAVEN! 3. Began my journey to eating less and healthier. 4. Sat down for a consultation with a wonderful financial analyst who won't let me off of the hook
